What to bring to sporting events with children?
This afternoon i’m going to a football game at my high school that me and all my siblings and cousins are going to. I asked another question so it would be nice if you answered that quesion too. But i want to know what to bring like what to pack. The kids are ages 2-17. Me and my twin brother are 17. What should we bring? What should we put all the stuff we bring in? like a backpack or something? Also we are walking to the game and back. Should we bring strollers or something for the littlest ones?
I’ve taken kids to games before but never all of them all together.
Make sure you have plenty of water. Put a generous layer of sunscreen on all of them (and yourself too). If the 2yo is still in diapers bring a couple of extra ones with you. For the little ones (say…5yo and younger) make sure a let them bring a toy because the game will not hold their interest and they will get bored and fussy. If you have a stroller or a wagon I would bring that too or you will end up carrying the toddler(s).
School Kids and Adventure
Schools can be demanding; even stressful. But do teachers take notice? Even parents pressurize their children to work harder than usual and the consequences are that quiet a few at a very early age have spectacles or suffer from depression. And that is the case with most of the kids these days.
You may ask does life revolve at books, home works and tuitions? No, there is adventure, its thrill and the freshness it spreads. There are several adventure tourism companies that bring this newness in the life of school kids. Seasonal adventure camps or day picnics are organized by them. These camps are filled with several activities.
If the adventure camp is organized in a hilly region it might have rock climbing, rappelling and trekking as the major activities. If the camp is at a sea side then there chances you might get to try out water sports; scuba diving, snorkeling, motor boats, kayaks and what not. If your school has organized your camp near snow clad mountain tops you might as well ski a little. Yes there is no dearth of adventure activities and organizations who have taken to organizing adventure camps for school kids.
Generally adventure camps are designed for the tough and experienced. But adventure tourism companies these days are made for the kids keeping their temperament in mind. When I say this, it means kids state of mind is kept in mind while organizing such tours. Expect some talk sessions with kids, meals together with kids, games that get them cracking up with laughter or even normal interactions which boosts their self esteem of the kids.
Not only are these adventure camps good as outings but they also serve several other purposes. If you are a teacher and knowing your students is an extremely important part of teaching them then adventure tours are the best place to discover them. If you’re a parent and see your kid drag his 5 kilo backpack to and fro school everyday and are worried about him, it is time you send him to an adventure camp. Because when he meets the same old friends and new ones in a surrounding different from the usual one, when he gets a chance to test his own skills and when he is able to let himself loose because there are no pressures of course work or examinations he will definitely bloom and become a confident person.
These adventure activities instill in kids a sense of responsibility. They also empower them and make them confident. Don’t be surprised if I say these adventure activities help kids become smarter. They take the hardships, become stronger. They perform tasks, sit around with friends and teachers and learn to open. Interactions in free surroundings really help children de stress them.
It is very important for schools to organize such tours from time to time that involve activities other than school work. It is equally important that kids show equal interest in extra curricular activities. For if it is not now in the prime of life that they see nature from its closest, they will probably be too old to realize the importance of it later on.
