Metallic Backpack Questions

Metallic sharpies and jansport backpacks?
I was thinking of getting a black spring break backpack and then using metallic sharpies to draw over it.
Will it work on that kind of fabric/material?
Also, is the backpack big enough for high school?
[soon to be sophomore]
thanks!
I remember painting on my backpack in my highschool years. Sharpies may be good for what you’re going for, but the points could be too thin; Sharpies also do not have a wide range of colors. If you have the budget, I would suggest paint markers — they are sold at your local Michaels or Arts & Crafts store.
I believe that paint markers have a better selection of colors and depending on how long you hold them down, you could get thicker strokes if I remember correctly. It has been a while since I used them. The smell may also be less tolerable than a sharpie. Be sure to try and do this in a ventilated area. You could go with the metallic sharpie. Just be sure that it has a chisel point. Otherwise, it may look like a 6-year-old drew on your backpack.
As for your last question, Jansport backpacks are a good fabric to draw on. The size should not be a problem either. I remember removing the pouch from my backpack and I made it through my senior year just fine. Then again, I never received any love notes or anything so that left more space for class work, homework, and other things.
