Dog Backpacks Large Questions

Does anyone use a doggie backpack on their dog?
Do you think it makes a big difference. I have 2 dogs, one with endless energy that I usually walk off leash. The other is a large breed that prefers to lay down along our walk. I was thinking about getting a doggie backpack for my energetic dog to drain his energy a little faster. Any recommendations?
I train Service Dogs.. and one of the tools I use is a dog pack. My favorite is made by http://www.wolfpacks.com/ They have great construction and they’ll assist you in fitting the dog.
The walking off leash thing would definately not be good while the dog is wearing a pack… he could get snagged on something.
Feel free to email me if you have more questions.
Security tips for those with a Dog door
Dog doors are considered essential pieces of equipment by some pet owners, but their installation means that your home security could be under threat.
Modifications to a lock or door can be seen by some as an invitation into your home, but by taking simple precautions when installing and choosing a dog door, you can ensure your house remains secure.
The most important thing to take into account with a dog door is size. Some doors are big enough for a small person to fit through. Understandably they are designed for large dogs, but unless you have a Great Dane, it is unlikely you will need the largest size.
When buying the door, choose one that takes into account the width of your dogs shoulders and the height of their back. Most products have the recommended dog weights on the back of the box, so it shouldn’t be difficult finding the one most suited to your pet. It is worth remembering that whilst you can change a dog door for a bigger one without any hassle, the only way you can downsize is by replacing the entire door.
Deciding where you place the door is also an important factor. Most dog doors are fitted to a home’s back door, which allows the pet access to the garden. This is the safest option as it usually it is not visible from the road. However, If your back garden is not hidden from view, ensure you position the pet flap correctly on the door. If you fit the door too high or to a particular side, a person may be able to put their arm through the flap and unlock the door.
The type of dog door you buy is also significant. A flap with four settings (swinging both ways, only outside, only inside and locked only) is the best choice. Setting the door to swing outwards when you are not home may mean your dog is stuck outside until you return, but would leave you safe in the knowledge your property was secure.
