Will a laptop in a sleeve be safe in a backpack?
I’m heading off to college soon and I am considering purchasing a laptop sleeve for my laptop; will this be enough protection if I put it in a backpack with books, notebooks, etc.? Or will it get crushed…
Depending on the size and weight of your computer plus the way it sits in your backpack will determine the risk for your laptop. On a general note it is always smart to wrap your laptop with a sleeve, just so that you have the first layer of defense against any abrasions. Placing a laptop in a backpack without being properly secured puts your device at risk to such abrasions. As long as you have the laptop secured and not jostling around you should be fine to just use the sleeve. I use a Codi Laptop sleeve for my laptop when I put it in my backpack which has built in slot for a laptop. This way i am sure that my laptop will always be safe.
