Backpack Heavy Duty!
Armor Heavy-Duty Tactical Response Backpack Bag Video Review
Backpack Heavy Duty Questions

what backpack do you have for your B.O.B.?
whats the best backpack/rucksack/assault pack/expedition pack for a bug out bag. i want something from a proven manufacturer thats either better or at least as good as current military issue gear.
my criteria:
-large capacity
-super heavy duty material
-inner or outer frame or something like an A.L.I.C.E. pack
-preferably waterproof. not just a a pack with a bag to put over it but waterproof material if possible

There may be better options available but it is large enough to hold everything I need and is waterproof. If the wax ever wears away you can re-wax it easily and cheaply. I like something with buckles as well in case a zipper breaks your pack isn’t useless. It’s a little heavier than some others, but to me that is a sign of quality material. I’m a little old fashioned though. There are a few outer pockets for keeping important items separate.
Of course you could always visit a surplus store and get a military issue pack. There are many fine packs available, both government or commercial, but this one is good quality for your money.
Heavy duty hiking is a good helper
Heavy duty hiking can be a risky business so safety should be the order of the day. When it comes to purchasing the best Timberland boots there are many issues to consider. Just because there are boots on sale they are not necessarily the best ones to buy, don’t scrimp on cost at the expense of safety and comfort. We all have different sized feet, Some brands will probably fit you better than others, and it usually takes a certain amount of trying on to decide which Timberland boots are ideal for your foot. Depending on the type of hiking you are doing, in most cases heavy Timberland boots are exactly what you need for extended day hiking, backpacking and traditional summer alpine climbing, especially if you intend to do all three without splurging on three separate pairs of Timberland boots for each activity.
Support as well as comfort is a key factor, but durability and versatility are also important for big backpacking trips, or covering long distances on unfamiliar rough trails. For example, Timberland boots are great boots to have if you like to spend time on exploring the outdoors. But even if you are not much of a walker, you can still make good use of Timberland boots.
You will find that Timberland boots are around five to seven inches high, they are usually well padded and offer minimal flexibility at the ankles. Most have a rugged lug sole (like a tire tread) that will provide good traction on a variety of surfaces. It is important that the sole is flexible enough to allow for natural walking motion, but it needs to be rigid enough to support your foot. Also make sure the sole is well connected to the upper and not likely to separate allowing moisture to enter in wet conditions. You need to bear in mind that Timberland boots are generally made from strong and stiff materials, so they will not adjust to fit your feet like other shoes made of canvas or typical shoe leather for example. Having said this you will want to purchase your boots well in advance to give yourself plenty of time to break them in to avoid blisters and foot pain on your first trip.
cheap Timberland boots are made to be water resistant. Some are also better for use in very hot weather or in cold conditions. If your boots are not water proof it would be a good idea to waterproof them before you even break them in. You will find most places that sell these boots will have a waterproofing spray that you can purchase. If cared for correctly, these waterproof barriers can outlast the boots themselves.
Whether you are looking for men’s Timberland boots, women’s Timberland boots or kids Timberland boots, you want the best Timberland boots available. Whether it is your feet or your families feet, don’t let price make the final say. When you are out on a 10k walk, the feet are aching, the blisters are throbbing and all you can think of is when is it all going to be over, don’t regret choosing price over quality and comfort. Do your research; find a supplier who knows their product, one that can correctly fit the appropriate boots to your feet. You want your Timberland boots to be comfortable all the time, with good cushioning, full support at the arch, heel and ankle, as well as having excellent traction in the sole. Get it right and your hiking trip will be one to enjoy.
