Backpack 30l Questions
How much space is there in the overhead compartment in the Via Rail?
Specifically, we’re taking the train 56 from Toronto to Montreal. I have a full marmot 30L backpack (like a camping bag) and was wondering if it will fit inside the overhead compartment. It is in comfort class (economy), and has no checked baggage train.
My full size camping backpack fits in the Amtrak overhead storage area without trouble (this was a open compartment by the way). The only place I’ve had trouble was in the commuter rail system trains in cities (like Chicago) that run out to the suburbs. Sorry I don’t know about the Via Rail system but thought I’d offer what I do know, maybe they are similar.
